Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Threadcraft (“Threadcraft”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and product.

What we collect

• Account information: when you sign in with Google via Supabase, we receive and store your account identifier and email address (and may receive basic profile info such as name and avatar, depending on your Google settings).
• Credits & usage metadata: to run the credits system, we store credit ledger entries and job metadata (for example: timestamps, mode, credits held / used, article character count, image count, provider/model used, and error messages).
• Content you submit for processing: the article text you paste, or text we fetch from a URL you provide, is processed to generate an X-ready thread. We do not store your full article text on our servers as part of normal operation.
• Local workspace data: Threadcraft saves your workspace draft in your browser’s local storage to prevent data loss. You can clear it by clearing site data in your browser.
• Analytics data: we use Vercel Analytics to understand overall traffic and product usage (for example: page views and events). This data is handled by Vercel according to their privacy policy.
• Support communications: if you email us, we’ll receive your message and may keep it to respond and improve support.

How we use information

• Provide the core product (processing content into threads and returning results).
• Authenticate users and maintain sessions.
• Track and enforce credits, prevent fraud, and mitigate abuse.
• Operate, maintain, and improve reliability and performance.
• Respond to support requests.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the service:

• Supabase: authentication and database services (account and credits data).
• AI processing providers: we send your submitted content to our configured LLM provider (for example, Replicate or DeepSeek) to generate outputs. These providers may process and retain data according to their own policies.
• Payments: if you purchase credits, checkout is handled by Stripe. We do not store full payment card details; Stripe processes payment information under their privacy policy. We may rely on purchase confirmations and identifiers to provide credits.
• Analytics: Vercel Analytics processes usage data to help us understand and improve the product.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies (and similar technologies) for essential functionality such as authentication/session management. We also use local storage for workspace persistence. Analytics may use similar technologies as described by the analytics provider.

Data retention

We keep account and credits records as long as your account is active or as needed for legitimate business purposes (for example: billing/credits, fraud prevention, and legal compliance). We do not intentionally retain the full article text you submit for processing, but operational logs from hosting and third-party providers may exist for limited periods.

Your choices

• You can sign out at any time.
• You can clear locally saved workspace drafts by clearing site data in your browser.
• You can request account deletion or access requests by emailing hello@threadcraft.app.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date on this page when changes are made.
